Welcome to Textio's equitable performance feedback certification course. This course covers everything you need to know about how to give feedback that’s unbiased, fair, and actionable. You’ll familiarize yourself with what the research shows, and learn the trends of who tends to get which types of feedback most often. With this new knowledge, you’ll be equipped to counteract the very patterns that create and reinforce inequities.
This course is taught by Textio’s CEO, Kieran Snyder, who is an expert and one of the pioneering researchers on this topic. In 2014, Kieran shared key insights in a Fortune article that went viral on language bias in performance reviews. Nearly a decade later, Textio continued that research in a 2022 report on Language Bias in Performance Feedback.
